The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven Community Care Solicitor to join our clients’ thriving practice in London. Becoming part of a highly specialised team, the successful Solicitor will enjoy a challenging and rewarding caseload acting for vulnerable adults, children and young people in all aspects of Community Care work. A good working knowledge of Legal Aid processes and requirements are essential for the role as is the ability to supervise junior members of the team. The ideal Solicitor will also participate in business development opportunities to further ensure the success and growth of the department and firm as a whole.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of two years’ PQE gained within a reputable Community Care department.
You must have excellent technical and client care skills.
A good working knowledge of LAA procedures is a pre-requisite for the position.
You will be able to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision, also supervising the work of junior fee earners as necessary.
An aptitude for business development would be highly advantageous.
You will be committed, personable and highly organised with a practical and empathetic approach.
