Sacco Mann are pleased to be partnering a well-respected firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, with an excellent reputation locally, nationally and internationally. With an impressive client list which includes multinationals, household names, large technology-based companies, SMEs and universities, their varied client workload extends across the full range of interesting technologies. As part of their continued growth plan, they are now looking to appoint an ambitious, client-oriented patent attorney who will enjoy contributing to aspects of a busy patent practice. Based in a beautiful corner of the world, they offer a friendly yet productive working environment where everyone's ideas are respected and encouraged.

The role will involve patent and design work for both UK and foreign clients, across a spectrum of technologies and will include drafting, filing and prosecution of European and other foreign patent applications, oppositions and appeals before the EPO, as well as UK litigation. You will offer clear and practical no-nonsense professional advice to the Firm's clients, and will build effective working relationships with the relevant personnel within client companies. Depending on your level of experience, you will work with your own portfolio of clients, the workload will be varied and busy and your responsibility and client base will grow as the role develops.

You will be provided with opportunities to develop new clients and you will also be expected to be involved with different aspects of business management and business development such as technical seminars, presentations, business fairs and working groups. The preferred candidate will have a solid degree in a physics, electronics or engineering related subject, ideally with some postgraduate qualification. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong commercial awareness and will enjoy supporting others and being supported in your career.
