A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Private Client team of a well-respected national practice in their East Anglian office on a permanent basis.
The firm has significant private client teams in each of its 5 offices nationwide. The team also works closely with colleagues in other areas such as corporate, real estate and family. Workload is varied and of high quality including all aspects of personal tax, wills, lasting powers of attorney, the formation, administration and restructuring of trusts, family investment companies and other onshore and offshore structures for UK tax planning, family and asset protection, together with succession planning in family businesses.
Working with the partner and other members of the team, you will advise high net worth clients, with a particular focus on landed estates.
This will involve advising on:
- Established trusts, including drafting complex appointments and advancements
- Business structures including drafting partnership deeds
- Succession planning
- Wills and lasting powers of attorney
This is a tax focused practice and a basic knowledge of inheritance tax and capital gains tax, including the availability of reliefs, is required. You will also have at least 3 years of private client experience gained in either a City or national practice.
